Let UHURU Adventure Travel take you off the regular tourist paths and show you the untamed wilds of Southern Africa.
Marcus Dyck - Managing Director
Having had the fortunate opportunity to travel the world since an early age, I’ve experienced some of the most breathtaking destinations, cultural diversities and natural wonders this world has to offer.
Photography has played a significant role in my sojourn, capturing the essence of the people, their land, and the wildlife that share it.
Travel and exploring is in my blood. My mother grew up in Africa, which is why I have felt a personal connection to this land for many years. Over the past 10 years, my goal has been to create unforgettable small group adventure tours in Africa and to share those experiences with fellow explorers. This is how Uhuru Adventure Travel was born.
‘UHURU’ means freedom in swahili. uhuru/ (uːˈhuːruː) / noun (esp in E Africa); national independence; freedom
To explore Southern Africa, embrace its culture, and respect its wildlife all while creating a one-of-a-kind experience that is both planned with precision and predictability, unplanned.
• Magical (beautiful or delightful in such a way as to seem removed from everyday life.)
• Adventurous (active, willing to take risks or to try out new methods, ideas, or experiences.)
• Breathtaking (astonishing or awe-inspiring in quality, so as to take one’s breath away.)
• Unrestrained (not kept under control; prevented from freedom of movement or action.)
