Upon arrival, you will meet our representative in Victoria Falls and be transported to your pre-selected choice of accommodation. After an orientation, you may take advantage of your accommodation's amenities or one of many activities in and around Victoria Falls.
Later in the evening over dinner, enjoy a traditional show of singers, dancers, and drummers to set the tone for your Southern African adventure.
The next morning you will experience the awesome power of one of the largest waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls, known by the local name “smoke that thunders”, as the Zambezi River crashes 354 ft/108 m. After the Falls you’ll be transported across the border on to Kasane, Botswana to officially join the start of the tour.
Day 1 & 2 - Kasane, Botswana, Chobe National Park
(Lodge Accommodations)
Upon arrival, you’ll meet our team, your guides, and other travellers. Your lodge accommodation is located on the Chobe River, near the world famous Chobe National Park.
Enjoy a spot of game viewing on your evening boat cruise. Observe elephants and their newborns as they cool down and play endlessly in the water alongside hippos and crocodiles basking in the evening sun.
Your fully equipped 4x4 will be dropped off, and we'll shop for provisions for the next 5 days.
Day 3 & 4 - Chobe National Park
(Camping) *one dinner included
The next part of the adventure continues as we travel on sand covered double tracks and arrive in a magical place where we set up camp.
Prepare dinner over the fire and relax and watch as the stars start to dance in the African sky and the night wildlife provide the entertainment.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through the surrounding wilderness with numerous watering holes that attract an abundance of wildlife.
When you retire at the end of each day the sound of the local pride of lions accompanies you to sleep.
Day 5-7 - Chobe National Park to Third Bridge, Moremi Game Reserve
(Tent Accommodations)
Travel across the vastness and varied terrain to the Okavango Delta. If we’re lucky we may see the pride of lions who use the same tracks as us.
The Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, where we’re likely to see hippos, crocodiles, leopards, giraffes, and rhinos, among others. This amazing part of Botswana is a huge wetland that floods annually (January/February) by waters from Angola, over 1,200 Km / 750 miles away.
In the Okavango be prepared for an excellent sleep in platform style safari tents, with a large deck that looks towards a water tributary of the Delta. The tents have solar power, and a self contained WC with outside showers.
The rhythm of the day will be largely the same as the last couple of days, enjoying the incredible variations of wildlife on the two daily game drives, spending the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the African heat and cooking dinners over open fires, and showering under the stars.
Day 8 - Moremi Game Reserve - Maun, Botswana
(Lodge Accommodations)
Travel through the southern end of the Okavango Delta to a frontier town, Maun where we will be enjoying the hospitality of a lodge on the Thamalakane River.
Day 9-12 Game Reserve in the Tuli Block, Botswana
(luxury Tented Camp Accommodations) *meals included
Fly from Maun to a dirt airstrip in southern Botswana where we will be greeted by the incredible staff of the exclusive private game reserve. Our accommodations are in a luxury tented bush camp with daily morning and afternoon game drives that promise to be magical.
Spend your free time on your private deck or at the swimming pool, or socialize in the open air thatched gazebo that overlooks a watering hole that is frequented by elephants and other magnificent wildlife.
Day 13 - Mashatu Game Reserve to Johannesburg, South Africa
We end this adventure with a private transfer to a local airport in South Africa and arrive in Johannesburg late in the day where there is an endless option of South African safaris, tours and day trips.
Extend your South Africa trip with adventures to Kruger National Park and the greater Kruger area Blyde River Canyon, the third-largest canyon on Earth. Or follow the coast along the Garden Route to Cape Town and the Cape Winelands. As the saying goes - 'When in Rome!'
